About 2 years ago, on May 26th, 2013 to be precise, I wrote a post where I took a look at some of the possible stumbling blocks to getting consistent results from Neville's techniques. Namely:
- A lack of real knowing that the techniques do work through not seeing a clear connection with events and the imagining or internal dialogue, or inner conversations, that created them.
- Attachment to the outcome and/or the way the outcome will come into being.
- Forgetfulness, or to be more precise, sleeping or being hypnotised by the film currently showing.
- Our unconscious beliefs.
I also mentioned a post that was getting the vast majority of hits and a high position in the search results for a term that I had never imagined would be so frequent and that had sparked off my creative processes and I was allowing ideas to form and assemble.
A solution to the forgetting problem and a way of helping myself and other people really integrate the techniques into their daily lives started to form.
I knew I needed a way to remind myself to check in with myself, and record and process any “stuff” that was going on in the moment several times a day. I needed a way to remind myself about the law and how it works several times a day also. I have tried leaving cards with quotes and other extracts that resonate written or printed on them around my workspace. But I didn’t read them regularly and could go for days without paying any attention to them. Another thing I needed was something that would help and encourage me to revise more and more often.
The ideal medium for this tool rapidly became obvious: an App. The number of smartphones is on the rise and I can’t think of a better medium - something that people already carry around with them most of the time and that is capable of being animated with sound or a vibration capable of getting attention.
I had found the ‘what’ and even had a clear vision of what it would look like but did not yet have the technical knowledge to build it or the finances for hiring a coder. The different solutions I looked into didn’t cut it so the project was put on hold for a while. Then through a series of events the solution presented itself to me. An XDK for creating apps for specific smartphone operating systems.
I hadn’t done any programming for some time and that I wasn’t very familiar with javascript. But with my vision firmly held in mind I started to write the code, looking at examples of how to do things and asking for help in forums when I needed some. And now I’m thrilled to announce that this app is nearly ready to go. I’m in the final stages of testing and starting to work on the marketing strategy and writing a manual.
This App is designed to make you périodically stop (you decide when and how often), evaluate and record how you’re feeling, and if you’re thinking of or from your desire. It then leads you through a process of remembering (noting down whatever is bothering you in that moment) and revising (although the revision can be done later if preferred or short of time). The process ends with a random Neville quote.
The reminders or prompts are easy to set up and their number is limited only by your smartphone. Daily and global statistics help get an overview of moods and the ratio of thinking from and thinking of. Obviously this is not a magic pill and you will always be the operant power. But I do believe that using this tool will help to move from forgetful hearer to doer of the word.
If you would like to know more about this head over to http://enevillizer.tk or sign up to the RSS of this blog. Now that the App is in the final stages of testing for the technical aspects I can start the real test and, time permitting, I'll report my findings and results here.
